Buttermilk Pie

Y’all. This is the pie of all pies. If you’re a beginner pie maker or a seasoned pie veteran- this pie is for you. Thanksgiving is coming up and I highly suggest making one or two of these for the big day. Lots of love and many blessings!

You will need:

  • 1 9-inch pie crust, unbaked
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 cup of sugar
  • 4 tbsp butter, melted
  • 3 tbsp all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1.5 tsp vanilla
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/8 tsp nutmeg (just a little pinch of a pinch)

Preheat your oven to 350* F.

Mix all of the ingredients together in a bowl. Pour into your pie crust. Bake for approximately 45 minutes. You know it’s ready when the middle is just slightly wobbly.

Remove from the oven and let it cool completely. I prefer mine to sit in the fridge for a few hours. I like to eat it cold, but that’s just me. 🙂

I hope you love this recipe! It is so delicious and easy, and the way I make it helps cut the sweetness a bit.

Lots of love and many blessings!

Chelsea

whoever follows me will have the light of life.”
